The Ronald McDonald social was the first in-person service event I attended! It was fun getting to see the Key Club members and coming up with messages and pictures to put on the cards. Our amazing advisors got us pizza, chips, and soda, which were delicious! My favorite part was when we did an activity- everybody had a partner and had to come up with a truth and lie. It was an amazing social, and I hope we get to have more in the future!

I was super excited for this service event because it was the first in-person event of the new term! I really enjoyed seeing everyone, and I even got to know a little about each of the members during the ice breaker. After not holding any in-person events for a long time, I didn’t expect many people to attend this event but I’m glad a good number was able to participate! I’m looking forward to the many other service projects in the upcoming school year!

For the Ronald McDonald Service Project, we all grouped up in the cafeteria and made cute little lunch cards to put in lunch bags which will be given to children in need on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House Charity. I sat with Bulletin Editor Kelly and SAA Alexia at one table, and we had such an amazing time sharing ideas and bonding as we created these cards! In the middle of the service project we were instructed to switch up our tables and meet new people, in which I ended up bonding with Xavier, Jasmine, and Angela! Overall, this event— which was actually our first in-person service project since quarantine started— was overwhelming at first, but I soon felt the same spirit and enjoyment of Key Club service as before and I’m glad I participated!
